Public Child Care - A Great Place to Grow

As a part of its Cross-Canada tour for public child care, the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) is sponsoring a public forum on the need for public child-care.....and you're invited!

The forum will take place at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 18 2009 in St.John's at 50 Pippy Place, Unit 19. child_care_worker.jpg

Scheduled to attend are Martha Friendly, director of the Childcare Resource and Research Unit in Toronto and Susan Prentice, associate professor of sociology at the University of Manitoba. They are the co-authors of the recently published book, About Canada:Childcare

They will be joined by local CUPE and community childcare activists, including a representative from the Child Care Advocacy Association of Canada.
